B-17G MAIN INSTRUMENT PANEL, ACCURATE AND COMPLETE
|
ALL THE INSTRUMENTS, SWITCHES AND LIGHTS ARE ACTUAL WWII ARMY AIR FORCE ITEMS, ONLY THE PANEL ITSELF IS A VERY HIGH QUALITY REPRODUCTION.
The panel is an exact replica crafted by master B-17 panel builder Bruce Claxton (www.b17panels.com). Bruce constructs these panels using the original Boeing scaled drawings and the same materials as Boeing did when they made them and includes all the wiring, tubing and duct work openings and races in the back. In addition this panel stands on its own, so it is ready to display on a table or the wall. If you are a WWII, 8th Air Force, 15TH Air Force, Militaria, Aviation or B-17 Flying Fortress enthusiast or collector, this is a "must have" for your collection. Several of the instruments and other items in this panel are exclusive to the B-17, and are extremely scarce, especially in this condition. There are 34 gauges and indicators, 8 switches and 10 panel indicator lights. The list includes: 2 fluorescent rheostat switches; radio compass indicator; primary direction indicator (also known as the position deviation indicator); Weston voltmeter; hydraulic pressure gauge; suction gauge; Pilot's O2 blinker and O2 pressure gauge; Co-Pilot's O2 blinker and O2 pressure gauge; the airspeed static pressure alternative source switch; altimeter correction card holder; localizer indicator; directional gyrocompass ; automatic direction finder indicator; artificial horizon; C-12 altimeter; 500 mph airspeed indicator; turn and bank indicator; rate of climb indicator; 2 dual manifold pressure gauges; 2 dual oil pressure gauges; 2 dual fuel pressure gauges; 2 dual tachometers; 2 dual oil temperature gauges; 2 dual carburetor air temperature gauges; 2 dual cylinder head temperature gauges; flap position indicator; free air temperature indicator; B-17 multiface, multi reading fuel quantity gauge; 4 propeller feathering switch/buttons; globe test button/switch and 10 panel indicator lights.
